Comprehensive testing and evaluation by the USSL has certified that the Keen-M DC systems meet the exacting German DIN standards. The NEW GENERATION DC systems offer superior athletic performance and comfort, while further reducing the risk of sports related injuries.

DIN TESTS INCLUDE:

1. Shock Absorption or Force Reduction:- Measures the surfaces impact on an athlete’s landing. The higher the shock absorption, the greater the protective effect of the floor.

2. Resilience of Deformation Control:- Measures the control of the depression caused by an athlete after landing on the surface. If the trough is too wide, neighbours will affect each other when jumping and running. This has become an important selective characteristic for sports surfaces.

3. Sliding Behaviour:- Measures the sliding coefficient which is defined as the quotient of the vertical force acting upon a shoe and the horizontal force needed to move the shoe over the surface. When the friction is too high, the athletes’ shoes will tend to stick on the floor, thus applying a very heavy strain to the feet, leg muscles, and the ligaments of the player.

4. Ball Rebound:- Measures the rebound of a ball on the surface as compared to a rigid floor (concrete). One advantage to a high rebound percentage is improvement of ball control.

5. Rolling Load:- A moving load tests joints of the top finish flooring as well as the subfloor underlayment.
